The Lady Hornets are taking on the Borgia Lady Knights. The Knights score first, went up 3-0 in the top of the first. The Lady Hornets responded with 3 of their own. In the bottom of the 2nd, Addi Doerhoff singled to right...stole second, with no one covering, a throwing error to center field allowed her to score. Dani Heckemeyer singled, and Charli Duemmel hit a 2-run home run to extend the Lady Hornets lead, 6-3, after two complete innings.
SPORTING NEWS
The Lady Hornets will not play their first game in the Union Tournament until 11:00 today. Crocker, our 9:00 opponent, dropped out of the tournament. They will then play Borgia at 11:00. They will have another game at 1:00 good Luck Lady Hornets!

After a 1-hour lightening delay, the Lady Hornets finally got underway. It took 8 innings, but the Lady Hornets prevailed, 2-1, over the Rolla Lady Bulldogs. There was another delay as soon as the game ended, and all games were cancelled. They will continue play in the union Tournament on Saturday, playing at 9:00 am, 11:00 am, and 1:00 pm.

Our senior softball girls delivered cash donations and can goods to Helping Hands. They were able to collect over two grocery carts full of supply's for the less fortunate. We would like to thank everyone who donated from the Iberia, Tuscumbia, and St. Elizabeth communities!

The Hornets are Lady Hornet bats and pitching are just as hot as the temperature. They out score Tuscumbia 8-1 in a four inning jamboree. Nice job ladies!
Positive Office Referrals have begun this week! The office has enjoyed seeing kids for great behavior choices. Keep it up!
St. Elizabeth R-IV is happy to announce the arrival of the new Infinite Campus Parent Portal. The Campus Parent allows you 24/7 access to your student's information and can be accessed via the Campus Parent app or through an internet browser.
Parents please check your email to set up your account. Once your account has been created, you can also download the Campus Parent app for Google Play or the App Store. There will be an option to search for our District after the app is installed.

The Softball Lady Hornets are hosting a Jamboree on Tues, Aug. 27th, with Iberia and Tuscumbia. We want to make the event a Canned Food Drive for Helping Hands. They said they could use any type of "meal" in a can - spaghettio's, ravioli, soups, beef stew. If you wanted to donate things that require milk, would you please include powered milk? Start time is 5:00.
PTO Fundraiser celebration for last year's fundraiser was today! Grades PK-7th grade had a surprise treat of sno cones and time outside! Fundraiser kickoff is tomorrow!
Leadership and Service class hit the ground running today with a quick walk around town to pick up trash.

Few reminders:
You will start in the gym to get family packets, locker numbers/schedules, and other important information. Then you can go to classrooms. If your child is in elementary and you ordered a yearbook, it will be in their classrooms. If 6-12th ordered a yearbook, they will be in Kristen Holtmeyer's room.
Grades 6-12 will check out chromebooks in the library from 5:00-6:30.
Seniors will meet in the library at 6:30 to go over FAFSA, Cadet Teaching, and A+.
