**DISTRICT BASEBALL**
Congratulations to the Hornet baseball players that earned Class 1 District 8 honors:
MVP - Sam Luetkemeyer, Eli Kemna, Carter Reinkemeyer, Kyson Green, Honorable Mention - Aiden Otto.
Summer school students in grades 6 and 7 delivered their pirate inspired creations for Special Olympics to use at their Summer State Games! They created a pirate ship, functioning steering wheel and treasure chest, and photo back drops!

The St. E Hornets will take on the Atlanta Hornets on Wed, May 27th, at 6:00 pm. The game will be played at the La Plata Sports Complex, in La Plata, MO.
**SECTIONAL BASEBALL TODAY**
The Hornets host the Pilot Grove Tigers, in St. E. Game time is 5:00.

What a GREAT day for the Lady Hornets Track team. We had 5 events today, all made it to the podium. The team finished 9th overall!

The Lady Hornets did really well today. Moving into finals tomorrow:
Abby - 100 hurdles, 100m dash, 4x2 relay, 300 hurdles
4x200 relay - Mya, Pearl, Hadassah, Abby

The Hornets had a tough one against the Vienna Eagles. Both pitchers did a great job, but the Hornets prevailed in a bottom of the 7th, bases loaded walk, to win 1-0. Sectional game will be at St. E on Monday...more details to follow.

The championship game is set to be played tonight, in Stoutland. Game time is 5:00.

The Hornets defeat the Stoutland Tigers, 7-0, in the district semifinal game. They will play the winner of the Vienna-Calvary Lutheran game, tomorrow night. Way to go Hornets!
