Ice cream was awarded at lunch to 1st, 3rd, 4th, and 11th grades for bringing in the most goods for our hurricane fundraiser.
7th grade research class made pumpkins based on a favorite book! Be sure to check them out at conferences!
SCOP is hosting a FREE Community Fallfest on Friday, Nov. 8th from 5 - 7 pm at the Church Pavilion and front of school. Activities: roasting hotdogs and s'mores, cookie decorating, pumpkin painting, haunted school tour, and hot chocolate. This is a FREE event for all ages! All children must be supervised by an adult.
Reminder that today is an early release day. We will release at 12:12. Parent Teacher Conferences are from 1:00-7:00. Students staying for aftercare will need to be picked up by 3:00 p.m. We look forward to seeing you today!

There will be a parent meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the school cafeteria on November 6th for those interested in archery. Archery is for grades 4-12. Students do NOT have to attend the meeting, but are welcome. Please come even if your child has been on the team before. There are MONASP rule changes (requests) to discuss, and the Conference has decided to have a tournament this year. We will also be asking for help with coaching. The Softball Lady Hornets will host the Norwood Lady Pirates in the Quarterfinal game on Saturday, October 26th. Game time is 3:00, all tickets have to be bought on MSHSAA website
JH Hornets fall to Jamestown, 46-39. They play for third place against Prairie Home on Thursday, October 24th at 7:30 pm.
JH Hornets trail at the half against Jamestown by 1, 23-22.
The JH Lady Hornets advance to the championship game on Friday night. They defeated the Lady Panthers , 28-14.
The Lady Hornets are taking on the Prairie Home Lady Panthers. At the half the Lady Hornets lead, 11-7.
Student Council and NHS had their annual leadership field trip today. They participated in team building activities at Malted Monkey ropes course. Then, they ate lunch at Sergios and had ice cream at Andy's before heading home. It was a beautiful day for a field trip.
2nd grade decided that when it's nice out, you take your work outside!
