Our elementary students enjoyed afternoon entertainment from our Spanish I students who wrote children's books. They told the time to read to our students in Spanish. Everyone enjoyed the experience.

It's a good one in Eugene tonight. The Hornets trail Southern Boone by one, 24-23. Update, a transformer has blown and games have been postponed. We will know more in the morning.
Candy Cane time! All proceeds will go to the Rape and Abuse Crisis Center in Jefferson City. Candy Cane Costs: • 2 for $1 • 1 candy cane for each student in your class for $10 Order forms are due Thursday, December 7th. Students may purchase candy canes for themselves, or they can send candy canes to someone else in school. If your student would like more order forms, they may ask their teacher for additional copies.

The Lady Hornets used some good shooting to pull with 9 in the second half. But the Lady Indians proved to be too much. The Lady Hornets lost to the Lady Indians, 63-40. The Lady Hornets will take on the Russellville Lady Indians on Saturday at 3:00 pm.
The Lady Hornets are up against a very good Osage Lady Indian team. Their big girl inside is making it hard for us to get off inside shots. At half, the Lady Hornets are down, 30-16.
The Indians kept it close but the Hornets end up prevailing by a score of 62-53. The Hornets will play Southern Boone at 6:30 tomorrow night.
It's the opening round of the Eugene tournament. The Hornets take on the Indians from Russellville. At the half, the Hornets lead the Indians, 34-25.
The JV Hornets will be playing at the JV Dixon Tournament on December 4th, 6th and 7th.
The JV Lady Hornets will be playing at the JV Stoutland Tournament on December 5th, 6th and 9th.
The 8th grade class visited ECC at Eldon today. ECC provides quality training in many technical fields. The students were able to experience the programs of their choice.

3rd grade is learning about amphibians and reptiles in science class. During a class experiment they were able to compare amphibians and reptiles eggs and skin.
The Lady Hornets came out of the lockerroom with some tough defense. The Lady Hornets held the Lady Tigers to 10 points in the 2nd half. Final score, Lady Hornets 40-31. They will play Wednesday night at 8:30pm.
